More Than Match Fit: 344 Players Now Life-Saving Ready! What a very busy two weeks for Penicuik Community First Responders!

Back by popular demand, Fiona and Gilbert dusted off the resus manikins and delivered another Emergency Basic Life Support session to Edinburgh's ever-enthusiastic tandem cycling crew.

Mark Halliday (Chairman) said, "Can I just start by saying it's a real pleasure to celebrate a truly remarkable milestone, 20 years of Penicuik Community First Responders.

This week, Penicuik Brownies members, aged between 7 and 10 years old, took their first steps towards becoming real-life superheroes! Penicuik Community First Responders (PCFR) visited the group to teach vital life-saving skills, and there was plenty of laughter, learning, and a few very large soft toys involved.

On Wednesday 19th March PCFR welcomed the Dalkeith and Penicuik members who joined forces and learnt some first aid from The Penicuik Community First Responders at the Penicuik rugby club. They guys were all given a certificate after completing a very enjoyable session. They all had a great time learning some life saving skills.

Fiona, with help from our ex-First Responder Gilbert, had great delight delivering Emergency Basic Life Support training today to 17 (aged 11-14) Midlothian Swimming Club members.

Further to our presentation, "What is a Community First Responder?" PCFR's were delighted be asked back to The Rotary Club of Penicuik to deliver some hands on Basic Life Saving skills to some 17 members of the club.
